KEEPING THE ESSAY

We have been less literate every year for decades. Last year our society had a Revolutionary moment. People were in the streets fighting for more justice energy. People  were also fighting to keep the injustices that this society was built upon. I'm not sure if the injustice people knew what they were doing. One of the forms of literature that remains popular, is the essay. The essay is used in schools to test older students. The essay is also used to give information about subjects. In the beginning of Hip Hop the DJ was more popular than the MC. The DJ sets the tone for the party and actually moves the crowd. The MC began to take control in Hip Hop. It was about moving people with words. The DJ still laid the foundation for MCs. Now the DJ has risen again. D Nice is the most famous DJ today, but many DJs are moving the world, thanks to the internet. Lyrics are still important, but now we remember the power of the DJ. What is going to happen when the DJ and MC are functioning at maximum strength together? We are fortunate that we are alive to see this breakthrough in Hip Hop.

END OF EMPIRE

 I walk around the Wall Street area of New York City. I see empty retail spaces and office buildings. This is the end of one kind of society and the beginning of another kind of society. I see impoverished people walking around with people who have plenty. Homeless people eye those who have comfortable lives with resentment. Those who have comfortable lives pretend like they don't see the homeless people on every block. The ruling and political class have a choice, improve life for those of us on the bottom of the old social order or fail to develop a new social order. People without social order usually become destructive.

HUMAN VALUE

 It is easier to improve our social fabric than some believe. People should care as much for other life forms as they care for human beings. People should care as much for human beings as they care for other life forms. The ability to have general feelings for each other and our environment is basic civilized consciousness, anyone who cannot achieve civilized consciousness is not civilized. We must demand civilized consciousness from each other and ourselves. It might seem like I am asking something difficult, but it is simple, try it today.

BUDDHISM ON MY MIND

 

In Hard Times Like These I Must Lean On The Highest Concepts From The Greatest Minds. I Have Been Thinking About Buddhism A Lot Recently. The Idea Of Transcending The Physical World Has   Always Been Someplace In My Mind, But Has Moved To The Front. Perhaps It Is Because So Much Of The Resources Have Been Drained From The Masses Of Us, Leaving Us With Raw Spirit. I Joined Good People Without Much Today. We All Make Mistakes, But Our Suffering Started When We Lost The Lottery Of Birth. The Only        Advantage That We Have Is Our Lack Of Attachment, We Don’t Have Much To Attach To.

HOUSELESS IN NYC

 It is insane to have people living on the streets at the same time that so many empty living units exists.

We can either subsidize housing or give people a UBI to pay for housing. The rest of society can also wait until homeless living kills the poor. Some impoverished people may want to hurt as many people as possible, if they have nothing to lose. The Struggle Is Everything!

WORKING IN 2021

 One plan is to redirect resources from the wealthy elite with a tax on every dollar over $50,000,000. Another plan calls for people making more than $400,000 to pay higher taxes.

We will struggle with why we work. Should we work for enough resources to fuel a lifestyle? Or should we expend energy to solve problems and master our skills/talents? The struggle is real.
