QUICK FACTS - PAN AFRICANISM

Between 1900 and 1974 Pan-Africanists organized six international conferences. African Americans from the United States had a crucial role in these forums, and English-speaking black people initially appeared in the forefront. African-American W. E. B. Dubois and Jamaican-born Marcus Garvey were Pan Africanism's two most important figures in the early twentieth century.

QUICK FACTS - BLACK POWER MOVEMENT

The meaning of BLACK POWER was debated vigorously while the movement was in progress. To some it represented blacks' insistence on racial dignity and self-reliance, which was usually interpreted as economic and political independence, as well as freedom from white authority. - Africana Encyclopedia

ABOUT HENRY BOX BROWN

In March 1849, Brown had a white abolitionist friend, Samuel A. Smith, package him in a wooden box and ship him by Adams Express to antislavery headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During the 27-hour journey, he spent much of the time on his head, as he was transferred back and forth from wagons, trains, and steamboats. An astonished group of abolitionists "received" him once he arrived in Philadelphia. - Africana Encyclopedia

GATEKEEPERS

GATEKEEPERS

1.19.2021

I came across a group of humanoids that told me they are gatekeepers. These people stand at mental crossroads trying to direct people in the direction of the ruling caste of physical societies. The gatekeepers asked me who I was.

I answered that I was Timothy representing the Conerson Center for Art and Culture.

The gatekeepers asked me what success was.

I answered that success is moving to the conceptual world and staying their until we leave these bodies.

The gatekeepers looked at me with blank stares. They went on to ask me for solutions to problems. The gatekeepers asked how to stop racism.

I told them that we could replace selfishness and greed with collective living. Empathy should replace indifference. Once we did those things, concepts like racism will stop making sense. The solutions to public problems are the easiest to grasp and implement after you realize that this society is a large bubble.

The gatekeepers asked why things were so bad if solutions are so simple.

I expressed to them that people were choosing to stay in bubbles when the reality touches us. We also confuse basic needs with important needs. Human beings were living in shelter with food long before the concept of economics was ever an idea in anyone’s mind. Too many beings spend their energy on false realities and basic resources. This can cause brains to shrink and mental illness to spread. I went on to say that thoughtlessness is the real health crisis in this society.

The gatekeepers stared at me, then walked away. I continued to travel.

ON THE LEGEND OF KORRA

I came across a television series called The Legends of Korra. Animated series are just as sophisticated as live action series these days. The Legend of Korra helped me to exercise my mind so that I can continue my journey on the freedom path.

The first season of The Legend of Korra introduces Korra training to become the next avatar. She is a teenager, so there is a lot of maturing or coming of age. Korra faces challenges while managing her private life with avatar duties. She also starts a relationship with her first boyfriend.

The second season of The Legend of Korra is about the avatar trying to stop civil wars between the water benders from the north and the water benders from the south. She also learns about the spirit world and its connection to the human world.

The third season of The Legend of Korra is about the avatar choosing between the concepts of social hierarchy and the flattening of social power. It is one of the most important choices we will all make.

I’m still watching The Legend of Korra, but I have enjoyed the concepts in the series. I am for the flattening of social power. We can manage our lives with the tools that exist and the tools coming in the future. I appreciate that young people are still growing. Some elders’ growth has been stunted. I find myself in a society that is at war with itself. White people who want a peaceful multi-ethnic social organization are at war with white people who want a 21st century plantation society. The Legend of Korra has been beneficial in my freedom travel.
